Washington State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. WSU is also a member of the National University Continuing Education Association, and is listed in the official publications of the U.S. Office of Education and the Washington State Department of Public Instruction. Washington State University is located in Pullman, which is set amongst the beautiful rolling hills of southeastern Washington, approximately 78 miles south of Spokane and 280 miles east of Seattle. Pullman has all the advantages of city life, combined with a rural location: There are many restaurants, and plenty of arts and sports opportunities to suit any taste.

WSU has been offering degrees at a distance since 1992, and more than 2,250 students have graduated from WSU through DDP. WSU's DDP is recognized as a leader in innovative programs and services by colleague institutions.
Program Overview
The Center for Distance and Professional Education (CDPE), through its Distance Degree Programs (DDP) unit, brings the best of Washington State University directly to students, in a convenient online format that lets students pursue a world-class education from wherever they have internet access. DDP offers 10 undergraduate degree completion programs to students around the globe. CDPE also offers undergraduate certificates in organic agriculture, professional writing and early childhood care and development, a graduate certificate in instructional design, and several professional development certificates.
Courses are designed and developed by WSU faculty in conjunction with CDPE's instructional designers. WSU online courses have the same learning objectives and standards as WSU campus courses. All courses follow the WSU academic calendar.
Distance Degree Programs offers the following Bachelor of Arts degrees, all of which can be completed entirely online: business administration - accounting, business administration - entrepreneurship, business administration - international business (with required foreign study component), business administration - management and operations, business administration - management information systems, criminal justice, human development, humanities, social sciences and women's studies.
Partnering with the WSU College of Business, the Distance Degree Programs will offer an Online Master of Business Administration (see http://omba.wsu.edu) beginning part-time in fall 2009, full-time in fall 2010.
Additionally, the WSU School of Nursing offers an online RN to BSN, and the College of Education offers distance courses that lead to teaching endorsements in special education and English as a second language, as well as the State of Washington professional certification program.

Program Delivery and Student Support
Students taking online courses through WSU DDP need regular access to a computer with Internet access. Students should also have an alternative computer available to them, in case their primary computer becomes unavailable. DSL or Cable connection is strongly recommended.
DDP students receive support services including personal academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, access to WSU's library system, career counseling and online student government.
